“The Wanda Alston Foundation is thrilled to be collaborating with the extremely talented and amazingly funny Hank Chen”, states June Crenshaw, Wanda Alston Foundation Executive Director. “This gives us a fabulous opportunity to highlight our work with eradicating LGBTQ youth homelessness in Washington, DC. It is a perfect partnership.”
Hank Chen, born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., achieved his dream of becoming an actor and comedian. In 2011, noticing a dearth in gay and Asian voices in mainstream media, Hank created and launched a successful Youtube channel using humor and heartfelt content to serve an underrepresented community for four years. He was an original founding board member of LGBT activist group, OneWheaton, which garnered national press and attention upon its launch.

The Wanda Alston Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that LGBTQ youth have access to services that improve their overall quality of life, including connections to medical and mental health care; support with finding or keeping a job; and the developing of life skills and other essential support.
