The Housing Monitor will be responsible for ensuring all LGBTQ+ youth residents of the Wanda Alston
Foundation (WAF) are safe, supported, monitored, and respectfully cared for following WAF policies and procedures. The Housing Monitor works closely with the Case Manager and the Program Coordinator to complete tasks and directives as assigned. House Monitors implement intervention to assist residents in meeting their case plan goals. This role is essential to ensuring that residents adhere to program and housing rules and regulations. This position will be working between both facilities of the Wanda Alston Foundation. The Housing Monitor reports to the Operations Director.
The Case Manager provides youth-centered, trauma-informed case management services for eight to twelve LGBTQ+ individuals ages 18 to 24 who live in The Wanda Alston Foundation’s extended transitional living program. The Case Manager relies on clinical skills to develop and support each client’s individual service and treatment plans. The case manager addresses client needs by connecting youth with medical and mental health services, accessing public benefits and community resources, developing budgeting skills, and connecting youth with permanent and stable housing. The Case Manager works with house monitors who staff the facility on a 24/7 basis to implement programming and assist clients in meeting their treatment plan goals. The Case Manager reports to the Operations Director.
